Mid-weight Designer

Salvesen Graham is seeking a Mid-weight Designer to join their growing team. The candidate will have a minimum of 4 years post-graduate industry experience, including working on projects in the luxury residential sector from concept to completion. A knowledge and passion for historic interiors are essential. They will have excellent project management skills, a strong design flair, an adept eye for detail and an appreciation for our creative style.

We are looking for a team player, loyal to the studio, who will bring a positive attitude to all their interactions with clients, suppliers, tradesmen and colleagues. Confident and capable of working both collaboratively but also independently. Excellent multi-tasking abilities and a pro-active nature.

The role calls specifically for someone with excellent presentation skills and proven ability with Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign). Hand drawing skills are a bonus. Proficient in AutoCAD, Estimac and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• A skilled and confident communicator and negotiator, you will have excellent client, contractor and supplier liaison skills.

• Be experienced working on small to large scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with the client brief.

• Be experienced in working across multiple projects at the same time.

• Be highly proficient in initial drawing and concept stages, with the ability to design pieces of joinery and develop in to detailed presentations using specialist design software, (specifically, AutoCAD and Photoshop and InDesign).

• In addition, essential understanding and good working knowledge of all MS Office programs and EstiMac.

• Highly competent in preparing and managing detailed schedules, budgeting and accounting of projects.

• Be confident in managing the production of mood boards, sample schemes and overseeing sourcing and procurement of FF&E schedules.

• Have extensive knowledge of the UK suppliers’ market, along with building regulations and UK standards.

• Be experienced and highly effective, working as part of a team collaboratively.

• Full time, working hours between 8.30/9am to 5.00/5.30pm.

• Based at our studio in Wandsworth.

• Salary is competitive, depending on level of experience.
